DIAGNOSTICS

1. FEMALE INFERTILITY TESTING
DIAGNOSIS OF MALE INFERTILITY

Spermogram (semen analysis) is an examination of ejaculate (seminal fluid). The first necessary step to evaluate male fertility is to do a sperm analysis. 40-50% of couples' infertility is caused by the male factor.

Before performing a spermogram, a man should refrain from sexual life and masturbation for 2-3 days.

During the period of abstinence, he should not have consumed alcohol

If he is taking any medication, he must inform the attending physician about it.

It is possible that male infertility is caused by fragmented sperm DNA. Each spermatozoid contains deoxyribonucleic acid, i.e. DNA, which for the correct development of the embryo, sperm DNA must not be damaged, i.e. fragmented. Sperm DNA fragmentation is one of the necessary studies to determine the causes of male infertility and to develop the correct treatment strategy.

One of the causes of male infertility is Y chromosome microdeletion (YCM). A microdeletion is a condition in which a certain region or regions of a chromosome is cut out.

Who should conduct this research?

Testing is recommended for men diagnosed with azoospermia (absence of sperm in the ejaculate) or severe oligospermia (1 million or fewer sperm in the ejaculate).

In the background of unprotected sexual intercourse for 2 years, when pregnancy does not occur, the diagnosis of infertility is made.

Timely referral to a reproductive specialist is a prerequisite for pregnancy

After the first visit to the reproductive specialist, an action plan and treatment tactics will be selected.

A. Assessment of hormonal profile

B. Cervical cancer screening studies (Pap test, HPV/PCR assessment)

C. Bacteriological and bacterioscopic studies of smear

D. Screening of sexually transmitted diseases by PCR method

E. Sperm analysis

F. Determination of sperm DNA fragmentation

A.instrumental studies  - The clinic is equipped with modern equipment and ultrasound examination of all organs is carried out.

B. Hysterosalpingography

The procedure is painless, does not require pain relief.

It is recommended to have protected sexual intercourse during the cycle of the procedure.
